What began as a one-watt "pirate" station in a Springfield, IL housing project back in 1987 has turned into a full-fledged guerrilla radio network speaking truth to power in the most literal sense of the phrase. The Human Rights Information Network has active affiliates in more than a half-dozen communities around the United States, and the project's now doing productions for community television in addition to free radio. There is years worth of Human Rights Radio programming to be found here - all audio files are available in MP3 format. Some may be large - a high-bandwidth connection or plenty of time for downloading is recommended. Kantako and the crew in Springfield now have their own online home - www.humanrightsradio.net - check it out! Audio:
